The Angola Capital Markets Commission held clarification sessions for securities brokerage firms, securities distribution firms, Bolsa de Dívida e Valores de Angola (BODIVA) and banks on Instruction No. 03/CMC/06-25, which amends and republishes the rules on the transfer of investment services and activities in securities and derivatives. The instruction extends to 31 December 2030 the exceptional period allowing IFB to operate in the capital markets. During the sessions, the Commission set out the legal framework for the transition and the successive amendments leading to Instruction No. 03/CMC/06-25. It also detailed the services IFB may provide during the extended period, including custody for their own portfolios and for non-resident foreign-exchange investors, assistance in public offerings, and proprietary trading outside a regulated market, alongside ongoing reporting obligations and payment of continuous supervision fees.
