The Oman Financial Services Authority held a specialised workshop for its legal staff, in cooperation with the Said Al Shahry Legal Training Center, to strengthen legal capabilities in line with regional and international practices. The programme brought together legal professionals across positions and administrative levels and covered the authority’s work to review and align legislation with prevailing laws and international best practice. Discussions focused on key challenges facing legal staff, how to maximise and deploy legal expertise in legislative projects, and methodologies for knowledge transfer and stronger institutional integration, reflecting the breadth of the FSA legal function spanning legislation drafting and review, legal opinions, contract review, and representation before judicial and quasi-judicial bodies.
