The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in the IOSCO Committee 8 Plenary Meeting in Bucharest, Romania, held from 24 to 26 March 2026, focusing on investor education and emerging issues relevant to capital markets supervision. Discussions covered the World Investor Week, including a review of the 2025 edition and preparation for the 2026 edition, with work on key messages, institutional identity and stakeholder engagement. The agenda also included initiatives on artificial intelligence in capital markets such as collaborative projects, innovation programmes including TechSprint, and information-sharing mechanisms, alongside investor resilience topics such as financial education tools, informational content and awareness activities. The meeting further addressed IOSCO’s 2026 strategic priorities, follow-up on the organization’s Board work, analysis of new financial products and predictive markets, and member-led financial education initiatives; Angola’s delegation was led by Executive Administrator Edna Mascarenhas and the Director of the Department of Studies, Strategy, Development and Communication, Dalvim Pipa.
