The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) has published new fact sheets covering the pension fund, life insurance and non-life insurance sectors of the Monetary Union. The fact sheets, published alongside the 2025 Financial Stability Report, provide sector overviews and updated Financial Soundness Indicators (FSIs) intended to support assessment of the health of banks, insurers and pension funds. The CBCS positioned the fact sheets as a response to a data gap identified by the International Monetary Fund’s 2025 Technical Assistance Mission, which recommended reducing the time lag in data reporting by insurers and pension funds. The package also introduces revised FSIs for the pension fund and insurance sectors, which the CBCS plans to include in the 2026 Financial Stability Report. CBCS plans to issue the fact sheets annually to keep key sector information available between Financial Stability Report publications.
