Zimbabwe's Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has published presentation slides supporting its 2019 Mid-Year Fiscal Review. The historical figures show revenue of ZWL 4.99 billion and expenditure and net lending of ZWL 4.19 billion in the first half of 2019, producing a budget surplus of ZWL 803.6 million. The supplementary budget raised projected 2019 revenue and grants to ZWL 14.06 billion and expenditure and net lending to ZWL 18.62 billion, resulting in a projected deficit of ZWL 4.56 billion. Additional funding covered agriculture and food security, civil servant and pensioner welfare, social services, infrastructure, government operations and structural reforms. The reviewed capital budget increased to ZWL 7.07 billion, including ZWL 3.57 billion for agriculture and ZWL 2.47 billion for infrastructure. All figures and measures relate to 2019.
