The Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) announced that the Minister of Finance II has appointed Datuk Ahmad Hizzad bin Baharuddin as Chairman for a two-year term running from 15 November 2025 to 14 November 2027. Datuk Hizzad is currently Chairman of FWD Takaful Berhad and KAF Digital Bank Berhad, and a board member of Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad. He previously spent more than 32 years at Bank Negara Malaysia, including serving as an Assistant Governor from 2014 until his retirement in 2018, and was Director General of Labuan FSA from 2011 to 2017; other prior roles include chairing Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) and Mizuho Bank (Malaysia) Berhad. Labuan FSA also expressed appreciation to the former Chairman, Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi Bin Che Wan Othman Fadzilah, who retired in 2024.

The Labuan Financial Services Authority announced the appointment of Datuk Ahmad Hizzad bin Baharuddin as Chairman for a two-year term starting 15 November 2025. Datuk Hizzad, with extensive experience at Bank Negara Malaysia and previous roles at Labuan FSA, succeeds Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi Bin Che Wan Othman Fadzilah, who retired in 2024.
