The Central Bank of Nepal published a press note reporting that Finance Ministry Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay has taken the oath of office as a member of the Central Bank of Nepal’s Board of Directors, administered by Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut at the Supreme Court. The bank cited the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, which provides that the Finance Ministry Secretary serves as a member of the board and that board members must take an oath of office and secrecy before the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court or a judge designated by the Chief Justice. Attendees included Supreme Court Chief Registrar Devendra Raj Dhakal, registrars Bimal Poudel and Bhadrakali Pokhrel, assistant registrars, and Central Bank of Nepal Director and board secretary Muktinath Sapkota, among other officials.

Finance Ministry Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay has been sworn in as a member of the Central Bank of Nepal’s Board of Directors, as per the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058. The oath was administered by Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut at the Supreme Court.
