Bank of the Lao opens 2025 training programme on party and state inspection in the banking sector

The Bank of the Lao’s Banking Institute held the opening ceremony for its annual 2025 training programme on party and state inspection work in the banking sector, aimed at strengthening the knowledge and practical capabilities of staff responsible for inspection functions. The programme was co-chaired by Arun Bounyoung, Chair of the Party Inspection Committee and Deputy Governor of the Bank of the Lao, and Dr. Daobualapha Bavongphet, Vice Chair of the Party Central Inspection Committee. More than 80 participants attended from Bank of the Lao departments and equivalent units, regional branches, and state-owned commercial banks. Training content covered key resolutions, directives and other important documents, with party inspection focusing on party life, party organisation and party members where violations arise, and state inspection focusing on reviewing implementation outcomes and procurement processes. The training ran from 3 to 7 November 2025 and included discussion and lesson-sharing to link theory with practical application.
