The Bank of Mongolia and the Southeast Asian Central Banks Research and Training Centre are hosting a training program in Ulaanbaatar from Oct. 5 to 8 for 41 central bank professionals from 12 Southeast Asian countries. The program focuses on applying data analytics and emerging technologies to evidence based policymaking. Participants will receive theoretical and practical instruction in data visualization, nontraditional data sources, machine learning, artificial intelligence, text analytics and natural language processing. The training also examines how machine learning can complement traditional econometric methods and enables participants to share central bank applications and practices.
