The Financial Action Task Force has outlined the agenda for its sixth and final Plenary under the Mexican Presidency of Elisa de Anda Madrazo, to be held in Paris from 17 to 19 June 2026 as part of FATF Week starting on 15 June. Delegates from the FATF Global Network of more than 200 jurisdictions and observers are due to discuss threats to global financial integrity and security, including responsible technological innovation in finance and changing criminal methods. FATF will publish a summary of the Plenary outcomes after the meeting. The agenda also includes discussion of the FATF-Asia Pacific Group mutual evaluation report of Canada and the FATF mutual evaluation report of Türkiye under the new round of mutual evaluations, which assess the effectiveness of countries’ measures against money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing, as well as compliance with the FATF Recommendations. Delegates are also set to review progress by jurisdictions under increased monitoring. Jamaica and Nigeria will continue to participate under their own flags through the FATF-Style Regional Body Guest Initiative, and the Plenary will hear the objectives of the incoming United Kingdom presidency of Giles Thomson for the term from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028. FATF said its president will hold a virtual press conference at 17:00 CEST on 19 June to announce the Plenary outcomes.
