The Bank of Italy has published two sustainability-focused reports alongside the Governor’s Concluding Remarks: the Activity and Sustainability Report and the Annual report on sustainable investments and climate-related risks for 2024. Together, they update stakeholders on the Bank’s activities and results and on how sustainability considerations are being incorporated into the management of its own financial portfolios. The Activity and Sustainability Report serves as the Bank’s main report to Parliament, the Government and the public and, from this year, merges three previously separate publications into a more concise overview of the Bank’s role and functions, the activities carried out and results achieved, and its ongoing sustainability work. The fourth Annual report on sustainable investments and climate-related risks sets out 2024 results from applying sustainable and responsible investment principles to the Bank’s non-monetary policy portfolios and confirms that investment management is aligned with the Paris Agreement goals and the European Union strategy, consistent with shared Eurosystem central bank guidelines.
