Brazil’s Securities Commission (CVM) issued a market warning and ordered the immediate suspension of public offerings of securities brokerage services by FBS Markets Inc. and Mitsui Markets LTD. CVM’s Market and Intermediary Relations Superintendence identified indications that the firms, via the websites fbs.com/pt and ptfbs.com/pt, were seeking to attract funds from investors resident in Brazil to carry out transactions involving securities. The CVM said neither firm is authorised to intermediate securities or to raise funds from investors for investment in securities, and imposed the suspension through Declaratory Act CVM 23,105.
