Customers referred the cases to ProUsuario after first completing the claims process with their financial institutions. Unrecognized purchases accounted for 28% of claims, followed by unrecognized transfers to third parties at 13%, erroneous transfers at 8%, unrecognized cash withdrawals at 7% and cash charged but not dispensed at 5%. From August 2020 through August 2026, the authority ordered DOP 817.3 million in customer refunds after processing 30,294 claims through ProUsuario.
