The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) announced that the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe (BAZ) has joined as its newest member, taking the network to 102 member institutions across 73 countries. Established in 1992, BAZ is the primary industry body representing Zimbabwe’s banking sector. SBFN highlighted BAZ’s recent work to promote sustainability through stakeholder engagement and to support member banks in embedding more robust processes in day-to-day operations in light of the country’s exposure to climate change risks.

BAZ has been active in promoting sustainability and supporting member banks in enhancing processes to address climate change risks.
