The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency hosted a working visit by representatives of the Austrian Financial Market Authority focused on supervision of the non-bank financial sector and on regulatory implementation challenges arising from the European framework. The discussions centered on areas of common interest, with particular attention to insurance, pension funds and crypto-asset service providers, as well as the impact of digitalisation and artificial intelligence on financial markets and supervisory work. More detailed exchanges in insurance covered implementation of the Solvency II Directive, the Insurance Recovery and Resolution Directive, the use of artificial intelligence tools in the sector and the development of insurance distribution channels. The meeting also addressed current European regulatory initiatives and the work of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority and the European Securities and Markets Authority. Hanfa presented its own ongoing initiatives, including the PutNaTržište regulatory sandbox and work with the Ministry of Finance on drafting the Croatian Investment Account Act.
