The Eurasian Group published a readout of the second offsite meeting of Global Network secretariats, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from April 27 to 29, 2026. The meeting brought together the Financial Action Task Force, several FATF-style regional bodies and the Council of Europe’s MONEYVAL to discuss preparations for the next round of mutual evaluations, along with broader operational issues for the secretariats. Discussion also covered staff capacity development and improvements to internal procedures and digital tools used in secretariat work. The event was hosted by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan and followed the first Global Network secretariats meeting held in Abu Dhabi in April 2025.

The Eurasian Group issued a summary of the second Global Network secretariats meeting in Samarkand. Participants discussed preparations for the next round of mutual evaluations, as well as staff capacity, internal procedures and digital tools. The meeting followed the first such session in Abu Dhabi in April 2025.
