The International Association of Insurance Supervisors published aggregate results from its peer review of Insurance Core Principle 13 on reinsurance and other forms of risk transfer. Of the members assessed, 85% were rated Observed or Largely Observed, indicating that supervisors generally have and exercise the necessary legal authority and supervisory practices. The review covered 80 jurisdictions across every IAIS region. The report also provides examples of supervisory practices to help jurisdictions identify gaps and improve implementation of the standards.
