The advisory reiterates that the BSP and its staff do not provide loans, solicit donations, or request information that could compromise a consumer’s financial account. It also states that the BSP does not offer or administer deposit accounts for individuals and does not participate in private individuals’ transactions. The BSP encouraged the public to contact the central bank to verify claims by purported BSP representatives or to report illegal or fraudulent activities.
