Uzbekistan's Ministry of Finance reported that Deputy Prime Minister and Economy and Finance Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov and World Bank Group President Ajay Banga agreed to deepen cooperation and expand initiatives supporting economic growth, job creation and private investment. The agreement followed discussions during the International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings in Bangkok. The talks covered infrastructure and energy, agribusiness, health care, tourism and higher value added manufacturing. The parties also discussed implementing AgriConnect to support agricultural development and the Water Compact to improve water resource management.
