The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market held a meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine to discuss improving communication with market participants, current market issues and priorities for developing the stock market, with more than 40 representatives of financial and banking institutions participating online and in person. Chairman Ruslan Magomedov highlighted the Commission’s focus on understanding the needs and challenges faced by market participants and referenced ongoing discussions with the state, the banking system and the business community on tools intended to attract funding and expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and the wider economy. The Commission also pointed to expectations for virtual asset market development following adoption of relevant legislation and to further stock market digitalisation. Market participants raised questions and signalled readiness to join the Commission’s working groups, while the Commission indicated it intends to continue convening such meetings as part of its ongoing stakeholder dialogue.
