The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) published remarks by its president, Roberto E. Silva, delivered at the opening of the fifth International Update Conference on Public Offerings and Capital Markets, in which he set out the CNV’s current work programme and its aim to remove constraints and simplify capital markets processes. Silva highlighted ongoing and planned initiatives including easing restrictions, regulation covering virtual asset service providers and tokenisation, SME financing, trusts, private offerings and an “automatic public offering” framework. He also referenced the rules applicable to CEDEARs and common investment funds (FCIs), reflected in Article 7 bis of Law No. 24.083, and noted that his administration has approved 69 general resolutions, with the most important measures having been put out for public consultation.
