The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, through its Fingramota.kz project, took part in a Satbayev University forum on financial literacy, focusing on financial responsibility, prudent borrowing, personal finance management and protection against fraud. Opening remarks highlighted the importance of building young people’s financial planning and critical thinking skills. Discussions covered responsible lending decisions and effective personal budgeting, including expense planning, insurance, setting financial goals and developing saving habits. Cybersecurity and protection from fraud schemes received dedicated attention, including a session on common forms of digital fraud in Kazakhstan and practical steps to safeguard personal data and funds. The forum concluded with a financial quiz and recognition of student entries in the “Credit is not a like: think before you apply!” video contest, with awards for top content creators and plans to broadcast the selected videos nationwide. Organisers indicated the intention to hold similar events on a regular basis.
