The National Bank of Moldova reported that individuals’ net foreign currency supply covered 100.2% of businesses’ net demand in July 2026, up from 96.9% in June. The central bank did not intervene in the domestic foreign exchange market during the month. Net supply from individuals rose 22.7% month over month to EUR 409.2 million, while net sales to businesses increased 18.6% to EUR 408.3 million. The euro accounted for 63.4% of individuals’ net supply, and the Moldovan leu’s average exchange rate against the euro moved to 20.0917 in July from 20.1367 in June.
