The Central Bank of Oman has extended the period during which the public can redeem expired banknotes from previous issues, specifically those issued prior to the Sixth Series 2020. Redemption can be carried out through all banks operating in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of the working day on Monday, 21 September 2026. The Central Bank of Oman will not accept any claims related to redemption of these expired banknotes after 21 September 2026.

The Central Bank of Oman has extended the redemption period for expired banknotes issued before the Sixth Series 2020. Redemption is available through all banks in Oman until 21 September 2026. Claims will not be accepted after this date.
