The Central Bank of Iraq set out its strategy to broaden services for bank cardholders by expanding the network of cash delivery outlets across all available channels. Coverage is to be widened via ATMs, POC cash payment machines, authorised exchange companies, electronic payment company outlets, and electronic payment machines and POS terminals deployed across Iraq. The update points to Central Bank circulars directing banks and non-banking financial institutions to spread and expand financial services in areas that currently lack these services. Development of these services is to be supported by upgrading infrastructure for financial products and services in Iraq and continuously improving them.
