The Financial Action Task Force of Latin America (GAFILAT) has approved Bolivia’s First Enhanced Follow-Up Report and First Technical Compliance Re-Rating Report, which reviews the country’s progress in addressing previously identified technical compliance deficiencies in its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) framework. The report, approved at GAFILAT’s 50th Plenary Meeting of Representatives on 13 December 2024 in Asunción, focuses in particular on progress related to Recommendations 6, 13, 22, 23, 24 and 28. GAFILAT members welcomed the advances made and Bolivia’s commitment to meeting international AML/CFT standards, noting improvements in tackling deficiencies identified since its Mutual Evaluation Report.
