The Kyrgyz Republic State Service for Regulation and Supervision of Financial Markets announced that actuaries and insurance brokers must register in the Unified State Register of Actuaries and Insurance Brokers and obtain a state registration number in order to operate in the Kyrgyz Republic. The requirement follows Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 219 of April 3, 2026, which approved the procedure for maintaining the register. The register is an information system containing information on actuaries and insurance brokers operating in the country. It is used for accounting, registration, re-registration and updating information on these insurance market participants in line with the legal procedure. The underlying resolution also provides for a fee for registration and re-registration, although the announcement did not specify the amounts. The service called on insurance market participants to comply with the new requirements in a timely manner.
