The Montenegro Capital Market Authority announced that its President, Željko Drinčić, and Commission member, Ana Pivljanin, attended a two-day international conference hosted by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) in Dubrovnik on 1–2 September 2025. The event brought together senior supervisors and regulators from the European Union and the region, alongside representatives from the European Commission, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The programme covered potential approaches to simplifying rules and reducing regulatory burden, including models and examples of good practice. Discussions also focused on supervision in the era of artificial intelligence, highlighting challenges, potential benefits and ethical considerations, as well as the tokenisation of traditional assets and the development of market infrastructure in a digital context. The authority also noted that bilateral contacts were held with other supervisory bodies during the conference.
