The Algeria Market Authority reported that its chairman, Youcef Bouzenada, took part in the official launch of the Financial Investment Company of the University of Algiers 3 and the inauguration of its headquarters. The company is presented as Algeria’s first university-based venture capital investment company and has share capital of DZD 188.8 million. The firm has already obtained COSOB authorization to carry out venture capital investment activity and manage venture capital investment funds. The launch event, attended alongside the minister of higher education and scientific research, also included an exhibition of startup projects and initiatives led by Algerian university graduates, including projects supported by the university incubator.
