The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine has outlined regulatory work to make corporate bonds more accessible to retail investors and give companies another source of capital without diluting ownership. The initiative forms part of its broader effort to diversify a securities market in which government bonds predominate and to channel more private capital into Ukrainian businesses. The Commission identified three conditions for expanding the segment: easier access to investment instruments, competitive investment conditions and transparent risk assessment. Its work includes simplifying securities issuance procedures, supporting legislation for long term investment and improving issuer disclosures. Investors should receive sufficient information on an issuer’s financial position, bond terms and potential risks, particularly because corporate bonds do not carry the state repayment guarantee available for domestic government bonds.
