Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron announced the appointment of Mr. Oren Ariav as Head of the Bank’s Information Technology Department, with Ariav due to assume the role in February following a selection process run by a search committee chaired by the Director of the Bank’s Research Department. Ariav most recently served as Senior Director of Information Systems at Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority, where his responsibilities included leading organizational transformation and innovation, overseeing large-scale multi-site operations, managing classified operational networks and critical national infrastructure, and running projects to improve public services. The Governor also thanked the outgoing department head, Mr. Lior Georgi, for his years of service.

Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron appointed Mr. Oren Ariav as Head of the Information Technology Department, effective February, following a selection process led by the Director of the Bank’s Research Department. Ariav previously served as Senior Director of Information Systems at Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority.
