The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) reported on its financial literacy and awareness work for non-banking financial activities during a visit by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to the FRA pavilion at the official opening of the Cairo International Book Fair. FRA Chair Mohamed Farid presented an overview of the authority’s 2025 efforts to raise financial awareness and outlined planned outreach activities during the fair. The update highlights the signing of around five cooperation protocols with relevant ministries to support financial literacy, the launch of the I Invest website to raise awareness of non-banking financial activities, and capacity-building results including 298 graduates from the Certified Trainer Programme for non-banking financial activities and around 37,000 beneficiaries of various awareness programmes. The FRA’s pavilion includes educational materials and is supported by the Financial Services Institute, Misr for Clearing, Settlement, Central Depository and Registry, the Investor Protection Fund, and professional federations under the FRA’s supervision. The fair runs from 22 January to 3 February 2026, and the FRA plans awareness seminars during the period, including a session on the non-banking financial sector scheduled for 29 January at 12:00.
