The Hellenic Capital Market Commission’s Board decided to delist TERNA ENERGY INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL TECHNICAL SOCIETE ANONYME from the Athens Stock Exchange, approve the revocation of licences for an absorbed real estate investment company, and take multiple anti-money laundering (AML) enforcement actions including fines and a de-registration. The delisting was approved at the company’s request under Law 3371/2005. The Board also approved BriQ PROPERTIES REIC’s request to revoke the authorisation of INTERCONTINENTAL INTERNATIONAL REIC to operate as a real estate investment company under Law 2778/1999 and its supplementary authorisation to operate as an internally managed alternative investment fund under Law 4209/2013. On AML supervision, XBITS OU was fined EUR 40,000 for breaches of organisational obligations and procedures under AML legislation and was removed from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission registers for virtual currency and fiat currency exchange service providers and for digital wallet custody service providers. Separately, fines were imposed on OPENFUND AEDAKES (EUR 5,000), SIREC ENERGY CAPITAL PARTNERS AEDAKES (EUR 4,000), PIRAEUS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT SA (EUR 3,000) and EUROCAPITAL PARTNERS SA (EUR 2,000) for failing to submit the external auditor assessment report on the adequacy and effectiveness of AML prevention procedures required under Hellenic Capital Market Commission Decision 1/506/2009.
