Mozambique’s Ministry of Finance published remarks by Finance Minister Carla Loveira at the opening of the third edition of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) Mozambique 2025 conference, positioning the event as a strategic forum for dialogue between government, the financial sector, the private sector and technology actors and reiterating a policy focus on digital transformation to support an interoperable, transparent, secure and inclusive financial ecosystem. The minister linked the agenda to the National Development Strategy (ENDE) 2025–2044, which sets a 20-year vision for structural economic transformation anchored in innovation, technology and digitalisation. ENDE treats digital transformation as a cross-cutting public policy tool aimed at improving state efficiency, business competitiveness, financial inclusion and service quality, with specific relevance for banking and non-banking financial services including payments, insurance and pension funds.
