The Bermuda Ministry of Finance has provided an update on the Premier’s European meetings with government, central banking and regulatory representatives. Discussions in Brussels covered international economic and regulatory matters, cooperation affecting international financial centers, Solvency II, securitization and international tax developments. In Paris, the Premier met business, financial and regulatory leaders, including representatives of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration and the French Treasury. The delegation will return to Brussels for the 19th annual Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers International Insurance Dialogue Conference and further meetings with European Union officials.
