The Oman Financial Services Authority has signed a cooperation framework with the Said Al Shahry Legal Training Centre to design and deliver legal training for its employees. The programs will cover Oman's legal environment, governance, company law, dispute resolution, legal drafting and interpretation, as well as the authority’s powers and legislation on anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism. Specialized training for the Legal Affairs Department will address legal department management, commercial contracts, memoranda and pleadings. Advanced programs proposed with the College of Law in Australia will cover financial crime investigations, law enforcement, securities law and prohibited practices, regulatory licensing and supervision, insurance and consumer protection. The parties also plan to prepare joint annual learning and development plans for longer-term staff training.
