The State Bank of Vietnam published an update on its delegation, led by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong, participating in the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) regular Governors’ Meeting in Basel on 7–8 September 2025, including her chairing of the Asian Consultative Council with Asia-Pacific BIS member central bank governors. The sessions focused on regional macro-financial developments and discussion of emerging trends and issues in a volatile global context. Alongside the core programme, the delegation attended the Emerging Markets Governors’ Meeting, the Global Economy Meeting and the Governors’ Plenary to exchange updates on international economic and financial market developments, share experience and strengthen cooperation. On 9 September 2025, on the margins of the meetings, the State Bank of Vietnam held bilateral talks with Helene Budliger Artieda, State Secretary and Director of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), covering bilateral economic and financial cooperation, technical assistance programmes and priority areas for future collaboration.
