The Australian Securities and Investments Commission reported 150 administrative enforcement outcomes in 2025–26, up from 105 in the previous financial year. It removed or restricted 87 individuals and businesses from providing financial services, the highest level in five years, took equivalent action against 27 credit services participants and disqualified 36 individuals from managing corporations, up from 14 in 2024–25. Permanent banning orders or licence cancellations accounted for 61% of financial services outcomes and 89% of credit-related outcomes. Across those sectors, ASIC imposed 77 permanent bans or cancellations involving 31 individuals and 46 organizations, six 10-year bans and 31 bans of less than 10 years. Half of the director disqualifications were imposed for the statutory maximum of five years.
