The Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency certified the Single Beneficiary System under its “Here We Know About Pensions” program after the government entity trained its staff in pension matters. The certification recognizes organizations that promote employees’ understanding of the pension system, retirement savings and their rights and obligations. Organizations must train at least 70% of their employees, demonstrate an ongoing commitment to pension education and obtain recertification annually. Over the program’s three years of operation, 29 organizations and more than 13,000 employees have been certified.
