The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has opened a public consultation on a draft Board resolution that would approve a regulation setting minimum requirements for the organisation of internal controls in exchange bureaus to combat the financing of criminal activity and the legalisation (laundering) of criminal proceeds, and would amend certain existing National Bank rules in the same area. The draft aims to align the National Bank’s normative legal acts with the Kyrgyz Republic law on countering the financing of criminal activity and money laundering and with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) international standards. The proposal is published on the National Bank’s website under “Normative acts” and “Drafts for discussion” and on the unified public consultation portal (koomtalkuu.gov.kg). Comments and proposals must be submitted by 29 September 2025 in Word format.
