The State Bank of Vietnam announced organisational and personnel decisions for its Region 10 office, appointing two deputy directors and transferring additional managers from Region 11, alongside a working session on banking performance in the area in the first half of 2025. Vo Van Thanh and Pham Thanh Tinh, previously deputy directors of the State Bank of Vietnam’s Region 11 office, were appointed as deputy directors of Region 10, and four deputy department heads were reassigned from Region 11 to Region 10. Region 10 is responsible for state management of monetary, banking and foreign-exchange activities in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong; as of end-June, regional deposits reached VND 393,530bn (up VND 38,405bn or 10.81% from the start of the year) and outstanding credit totalled VND 544,223bn (up VND 20,330bn or 3.88%). Deputy Governor Doan Thai Son instructed Region 10 to stabilise its organisational structure, strengthen coordination with local authorities, and intensify monitoring, inspection and supervision of credit institutions and people’s credit funds, while urging local institutions to comply with monetary and foreign-exchange requirements, direct credit to production and priority sectors, and tighten credit quality controls to limit new non-performing loans.
