The National Bank of Serbia announced that its IPS NBS instant payment system processed a new record daily number of transactions on 15 September 2025, with 497,287 payments totalling RSD 6,691,377,296.07. IPS NBS operates 24/7/365 and enables citizens and businesses to make and receive payments within seconds, including on weekends and non-working days. The system has been operating since 22 October 2018 and the central bank noted that payment volumes have continued to grow since launch.
