The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) has launched consultation CP 383 on plans to publish two public dashboards containing firm-level Reportable Situations (RS) data and Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) complaints data in the second half of 2025. Under the proposal, ASIC would use its legislative powers to publish the firm-level information reported to it, aiming to increase transparency and accountability, highlight concentrations of significant breaches and complaints, and support firms in targeting improvements in compliance, consumer outcomes and performance. The consultation builds on ASIC’s prior high-level RS and IDR insight reports and would streamline engagement by seeking feedback on both proposed publications through a single process. Submissions are due by close of business 14 May 2025, and ASIC notes CP 383 reflects current thinking and may not represent its final approach.
