The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) held its 14th Inspection and Case Handling Commendation and Award Conference in Beijing and commended 25 collectives and 20 individuals for meritorious inspection and case-handling work over the past two years. The CSRC framed the awards as recognition of enforcement efforts in major capital-market cases and reiterated a sustained high-pressure approach to violations. The regulator pointed to investigations into financial fraud, market manipulation and insider trading as examples of major cases handled. CSRC Chairman Wu Qing called on inspection and law enforcement units to improve investigation quality, deepen law-enforcement reform, strengthen technology enablement, advance rule-of-law development, and reinforce cross-agency coordination to form a joint enforcement force, alongside building a 'three excellent' inspection team. CSRC leadership and the chairmen of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange attended, with representatives from the Ministry of Public Security and the Supreme People's Procuratorate invited.
