Finland's Ministry of Finance has published a preview of the informal meeting of European Union finance ministers organised by Poland as the European Union Council presidency in Warsaw on 11–12 April, alongside a Eurogroup meeting on 11 April. Finland will be represented by State Secretary Riikka Slunga-Poutsalo. The informal meeting will cover the competitiveness of financial markets, security and defence financing, and Europe’s current geopolitical challenges. Central bank governors will join the financial markets discussion, with Finland represented by Bank of Finland Governor Olli Rehn, while representatives from the United Kingdom and Norway will also take part in the defence financing discussion. The Eurogroup will discuss economic developments and euro area policy coordination and prepare for upcoming international meetings, with the agenda to be updated after the meeting.
