The Insurance Superintendency of the Central Bank of Paraguay has held the first Working Group for Development and Inclusion of the Insurance Market to advance collaboration between the public and private sectors on inclusive insurance products. The meeting focused on the development of microinsurance and on creating products better suited to populations that have traditionally been excluded from the insurance system. Representatives of insurance companies operating in Paraguay attended the session, where supervisory officials presented initial guidelines for designing microinsurance products. The discussions also covered possible regulatory adjustments needed to support effective implementation, with the working group intended to provide a technical and operational forum for expanding access to insurance and strengthening financial inclusion.
