The Central Bank of Poland published its June 2026 core inflation readings, showing that inflation excluding food and energy prices eased to 3.0% year on year from 3.1% in May, while headline consumer price inflation stood at 2.5% year on year. The release points to a further moderation across the main core inflation measures the central bank uses to assess underlying price pressures. Other indicators also declined on an annual basis. Inflation excluding administered prices fell to 2.1% from 2.8%, inflation excluding the most volatile prices dropped to 2.8% from 3.3%, and the 15% trimmed mean also slowed to 2.8% from 3.3%. The central bank said these measures help distinguish more persistent inflation trends from short-term price movements driven by factors such as food, energy or other temporary shocks, with the measure excluding food and energy used most often by analysts.
