The Arab Monetary Fund published its July 2026 Arab Capital Markets Monthly Bulletin, reporting divergent performance across the region. Its composite index declined 0.19 percent as seven exchanges gained and seven fell, while total market capitalization edged up 0.06 percent to USD 4.31 trillion. The Egyptian Exchange led gains with a 5.85 percent rise, while the Bahrain Bourse recorded the largest decline at 4.22 percent. Trading value fell 16.82 percent to USD 90.24 billion, driven mainly by lower activity in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. By contrast, trading volume rose 28.82 percent to 261.86 billion securities, indicating that higher transaction volumes did not translate into greater traded value. The mixed results came as Brent crude rose 22.1 percent to about USD 89 per barrel, interest rates remained unchanged across Arab economies and trade tensions continued to affect market risk assessments.
