The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published its February 2026 statistics for the central bank statement, balance sheet and reserve assets, showing total assets of EUR 1.87bn at end-February 2026, down EUR 31.24m from January. The decline was mainly attributed to lower deposits from commercial banks and pension funds. Foreign investments in deposits and securities totalled around EUR 1.38bn as of 28 February 2026, down EUR 17.27m month on month, reflecting a EUR 33.28m fall in deposits partly offset by a EUR 16.00m increase in securities holdings. Deposits at the central bank stood at EUR 1.57bn, down EUR 33.09m, while central bank capital was EUR 132.60m. International reserve assets rose to EUR 1.45bn, up EUR 6.99m, driven by a EUR 23.74m increase in securities investments alongside a EUR 15.27m decrease in deposits.
