The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that its chair, Firdavs Tolibzoda, gave an interview to Leonardo Slovinski of the international publication The Investor, focusing on potential coverage of Tajikistan’s investment environment, including the country’s banking system. During the interview, Tolibzoda provided an overview of Tajikistan’s macroeconomic situation and banking sector and stated that favourable conditions and a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework have been created to attract foreign direct investment and support the unhindered activity of foreign investors, including in banking. Slovinski indicated he plans to present Tajikistan’s investment opportunities in an upcoming issue of The Investor, build direct links with a global investor network, and draw investor attention to key sectors of Tajikistan’s economy. The National Bank added that The Investor’s network covers 165,000 investors and company executives across 48 countries, with total capital of more than USD 60bn.
